The USS California (BB-44) was a WWI and II era battleship that served from 1921-1947 and earned seven battle stars for her service in World War II. She is probably most famous for being sunk during the attack at Pearl Harbor after being hit by two torpedoes and a bomb. She was, however, repaired and used throughout the duration of the war. In 1959, she was scrapped and broken up. This wood was sold to a company and bought by me. Once the wood was acquired, I cut it down keeping part for myself and making these. The display includes a letter of authenticity as well as a copy of the COA from the company it was purchased from. The size and shape of the piece will vary as will the frame style. This is a great item for any navy, history, or WWII enthusiast! I have been collecting artifacts for over 20 years. Grab a small piece of history! We also have smaller pieces available on unframed cards in another listing on here!
